What
When two user messages come one after the other in a conversation, Claude Code combines them into one before sending the request. It now does this in a new way. In some cases it adds a line break after the last piece of text and places tool results (the output returned by tools Claude ran) at positions it has kept track of. In other cases it uses the general method for combining messages.
Why
Tool results in combined messages can now appear in a different order than before.
