What
Workload identity federation lets Claude Code sign in using an identity from another system instead of a stored key. Claude Code now notices when those credentials are reset while it is still fetching them. In that case it discards what it fetched and fetches again. Before, it kept the result regardless.
Why
This stops Claude Code from using out-of-date credentials after the sign-in configuration changes.
