What
Terminal output can contain hidden control codes, for example to change color or make text bold. When Claude Code cleans these codes out of output, it keeps the ones that set color and style. It used to keep such a code if it ended in m and contained only digits and semicolons. It now checks the whole code against a pattern instead.
Why
This affects which control codes from tool output make it through to your screen.
