Permission rules decide which tools Claude may use without asking you. A rule with no parentheses, such as one naming a tool without any further detail, is now recognised as a plain rule immediately, before any further reading. It is likely to give the same result as before.

Why

This is mostly a speed and robustness tweak to how rules are read.
