Unclear How many file attachments a user message now keeps is not stated.
What
The optional file_attachments list on a user message is now cut to a maximum length when Claude Code reads it, so a message can no longer carry an unlimited number of attached files. Several other small changes ship with it:
- A credentials request is now marked
httpOnly, so the browser-style cookie it sets cannot be read by page scripts. - A launch option called
searchOtherAppsDatais now passed through when Claude Code starts a process. - When the file holding carried-over prompts cannot be read, Claude Code now records that it was unreadable.
- A selection dialog no longer lets plain letter and number keys act as shortcuts, so typing in it is not mistaken for a command.
- Shutting down session syncing now runs only once, even if it is asked for more than once.
- New analytics operation names appear in the usage data Claude Code sends.
Why
These are small hardening and usage-data changes. Most of them do not change what you see, and some appear to belong to features that are still being built.
