What
When Claude Code runs with the --use-anthropic-git-proxy flag (an option added to the command that starts it), it removes git settings stored in your home folder. Those settings can live in several standard config folders, laid out by the XDG convention that many programs follow. Claude Code used to clear git settings from only one of those folders. It now clears all of them in a single step.
Why
Git settings left over in other config folders can no longer leak into a run that uses the git proxy, so that run is more cleanly separated from your own setup.
