What
A remote session is a Claude Code session connected to another machine or service. When one is closed while messages are still on their way, Claude Code now waits for those sends, records in its usage data that they were still in progress, and records how long they took to finish once they do.
Why
This gives a way to see how often messages could be lost when someone quits a remote session.
