What
A rate limit is a cap on how much you can use Claude in a period of time. The notice shown while you wait for it to reset now has room for two more items:
- an option about credits while waiting
- a suggestion to upgrade your plan
Claude Code also now records when the rate-limit options menu is shown, which options it listed, and whether you were blocked.
Why
When you hit a limit, you may see ways to keep working, through credits or a bigger plan, instead of only being told to wait.
