What
Claude Code keeps an internal count of pull requests it creates. A pull request is a proposal to merge code changes, as used on sites such as GitHub. Claude Code now also counts a pull request as created when it runs curl, a command-line tool for sending web requests, to send a POST request to an address ending in pulls, pull-requests or merge_requests. Before, only pull requests created through the commands it already recognised were counted.
Why
This is usage tracking. Pull requests opened directly through a hosting site's web API now show up in the count alongside those opened through the usual commands.
