A pull request is a proposal to merge code changes, as used on sites such as GitHub. Claude Code now also counts a pull request as created when it runs `curl`, a command-line tool for sending web requests, to send a POST request to an address ending in `pulls`, `pull-requests` or `merge_requests`. Before, only pull requests created through the commands it already recognised were counted.\n\n**Why**\n\nThis is usage tracking. Pull requests opened directly through a hosting site's web API now show up in the count alongside those opened through the usual commands.\n\n- Area: Telemetry\n- Tier: Under the hood\n- Useful: 1\/5\n- Signal: 1\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
