Unclear What Claude Code does with this count when the setting is on is not stated.

What

Claude Code can now count how many of Claude's replies were refusals since the conversation was last compacted. Compacting is when older parts of a long conversation are condensed into a summary to save space. This sits behind a remotely controlled setting that is off unless switched on remotely.

Why

This is preparation for tracking refusals around compaction. It does nothing until the setting is switched on.
