What

When you attach your terminal to a session running in the cloud, Claude Code now checks whether auto mode, a permission mode where Claude Code decides on its own which actions are safe to run, is available. It also checks whether the classifier that makes those decisions can run. Before, the session's permission settings were taken as they were.

When you leave the attached session, Claude Code restores your own auto mode state if the session had auto mode turned on.

Why

Auto mode can now be offered in an attached cloud session when the check allows it. Leaving the session no longer leaves its auto mode state behind in your own.
