What
Messages that reach Claude Code from another app can come with attached files, which Claude Code downloads and saves to disk. That download used to always run to the end. It can now be stopped partway. Claude Code checks for a stop before writing the file, and a stopped download is reported as "stopped".
Why
When you interrupt, attachments are no longer written to disk afterwards.
