What
MCP servers are add-on servers that give Claude extra tools. Claude Code asks each one for its list of tools. It now waits for that request to finish and, if it is still the latest request, clears any earlier tool-list error or sign-in failure for that server.
Why
An MCP server that had an error once and then recovered no longer goes on showing the old error.
