What
--add-dir gives Claude Code extra working folders. When removing a plugin, Claude Code may not be able to read settings in one of those folders. Its message now adds a hint: if a link along the way to the file leads to another machine, replace that link with a real folder or file. A link here means a shortcut that points to a folder or file stored somewhere else.
