Unclear What the reworked handling of prependPlugins and appendPlugins changes for an organization is not stated.
What
Claude Code now works out the prependPlugins and appendPlugins settings differently. These are the settings an organization uses to run its own plugins first or last. Built-in plugins that are switched on only by organization policy are now also handled separately.
Separately, ripgrep, the program Claude Code uses to search through files, can now stop with an error when it hits a problem reading its input that comes from the operating system, instead of carrying on.
Why
These change how organization-managed plugin ordering is applied and how some search failures are reported.
The entry above is what we published on the day. These lines were added later, as Anthropic's own pages caught up, and they sit beside the original rather than replacing it.
