When Claude reads a file it can ask for specific pages. If that pages value is invalid, the error now says: "Give one page ("3") or one range ("1-5"), not a list. To read several pages or ranges, read each one separately." The old message only listed example formats such as "1-5" and "3".
Why
It steers Claude away from asking for a list of pages in one go, which fails, and toward separate reads.
