What
Claude Code finds markdown files in a folder using ripgrep, a fast file-search program. When that search times out, fails or is cancelled, Claude Code still loads nothing from the folder, but it now adds one to a count of scans it gave up on. Before, it returned nothing without recording anything.
Why
The count helps diagnose skills and agents that fail to load, which previously failed without a trace.
