What
Claude Code sends some events to a server in batches, meaning several at once. Before, a failed batch was retried whole. Now, when a batch fails with one particular kind of error, Claude Code can split it into two smaller batches and send each again, and it no longer retries the whole batch for that error.
Why
A batch that is too big for the server to accept no longer fails over and over. Splitting it gives the events a better chance of getting through.
