What
When you type @ followed by a file name, Claude Code tries to read that file into the conversation. The transcript line for such a reference now gives more detail:
A file that is too large shows "not read: too large" together with the file's size.
A PDF that is still being downloaded shows "queued before download".
Before, the line only said "not read" or "not read: could not be examined".
Why
You can see why an @-mentioned file was not loaded, so you know whether to shrink it or wait for it.
