Unclear Apart from CLAUDE_BG_BACKEND, the condition that picks the new clearing method is not known.

What

In its full-screen view, Claude Code sometimes redraws the whole screen. It used to clear the old content the same way every time. It can now use a different clearing method. This never happens when the CLAUDE_BG_BACKEND environment variable is set to daemon.

Why

This changes how the screen is wiped during a full redraw, which may reduce flicker.
