Claude Code has a new remotely controlled switch. It is off unless it is switched on remotely, and even then it only applies when another condition holds and the organisation is not under the HIPAA policy (the US health data privacy rules). What it turns on cannot be seen in this release.
This looks like groundwork for something not yet visible. HIPAA organisations are kept out of it from the start.
