Unclear Whether this is behind a switch, and what that switch defaults to, is not clear.
What
A session can hold scheduled tasks that run on a timer. When you resume a session (reopen an earlier conversation), Claude Code now recreates those scheduled tasks and logs how many it restored. Before, nothing brought them back.
When Claude Code takes over an existing recurring task, it now marks it as having just run. Changes to the task list are now also announced to the rest of Claude Code.
Why
Scheduled work now survives resuming a session, and recurring tasks you pick up no longer fire the moment they are taken over.
