Unclear It is not clear what decides which of the two wordings you see.
What
A plugin marketplace is a catalogue you add to Claude Code to install plugins from. Claude Code refuses to add a marketplace whose name is reserved. That refusal now has a second wording, chosen by a check inside Claude Code:
The new wording: "its name looks like the name of one of Anthropic's own marketplaces. Reloading won't help."
The previous wording is still used when the check does not select the new one.
Why
The new message tells you directly that reloading will not fix the problem, so you know to change the marketplace name instead of retrying.
