What
  • Stop background agents: a new hint says to press the shortcut twice to stop background agents, and then says "again…" once the first press is registered. Background agents are helpers that keep working while you do other things. The shortcut is chat:killAgents, set to ctrl+x ctrl+k by default.
  • Proactivity level: when Claude Code is driven by a program through the SDK, or run without its interactive screen, that program can now send a set_proactivity_level request. The level sets how much Claude does on its own and can move the permission mode (what each level does). Switching to proactive this way can put the session in bypass mode when the session allows bypass, unless the request sets offer_bypass to false. A cloud-hosted session refuses the request.
Why

You get a quick way to stop agents running in the background. Programs controlling Claude Code get a new setting they can change.
