What
Claude Code uses completion data from @withfig/autocomplete to know about shell commands and their options. Loading it now depends on a server-controlled switch. When the switch is on, the data loads only when Claude Code runs directly from its source files, so compiled or bundled installs skip it. When it is off, the older check applies. The built-in fallback for the switch is on.
Why
Shell command completion data may stop loading in packaged builds of Claude Code.
