Unclear It is not clear whether any of these three fixes makes a difference a user would notice.
What
Three small behaviours are different:
- Git commands that Claude Code runs on its own now start from an extra set of base environment settings. Environment settings are named values a program reads when it starts.
- When a file "could not be opened", Claude Code now treats the failure as temporary only if the path is not something other than an ordinary file, such as a folder or a device.
- When Claude Code spots something that looks like a web address in text, it now strips every trailing full stop from the end of it, not just one.
Why
These are minor fixes meant to make these paths behave more reliably.
