What
When the Claude API skill loads, Claude Code sends a usage record. That record carried the detected language, the subcommand and whether arguments were given. It now also carries onboard_source and a quickstart field, with values such as quickstart, quickstart_unknown or another worked-out value.
Why
This only changes what is recorded about usage. Nothing you see or do in Claude Code is different.
