What

Two entries on the settings screen are only shown when a server-side switch allows them, and both switches are off unless turned on remotely:

  • "Precompute compaction"
  • "Show message timestamps"

Nothing about how they behave changed in this release. Both switches read off for this site's account and for an anonymous account, in readings taken before this release.

Why

These settings may appear for some accounts and not others, depending on what the server allows.

Feature flag
tengu_sepia_moth Off in both readings

The flag server returned off for the account this site reads and for the anonymous baseline. A reading of off cannot rule out a rollout these two readings sit outside of.

This account: off · anonymous baseline: off · compiled default in v2.1.288: off

These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.
