What
A skill is a set of instructions Claude follows for a particular task. The review skill used to have fixed limits on how many problems it reports. Those limits can now be passed in, and they default to the old numbers:
Low effort: 4 findings by default
High effort: 10 findings by default
Extra-high and max effort: 15 findings by default
The step after the review no longer ends with "State which you did." A word that used to be in capitals, "NOT", is now lowercase.
Why
With the defaults, reviews report the same number of problems as before. The wording changes may slightly alter how Claude writes up what it did after a review.
