What

MCP servers are add-on tools that connect to Claude Code. Some ask you to complete a step in your web browser, such as signing in. This is called a URL elicitation. The dialog for these requests has changed:

  • URL-mode requests now set userConfirmsCompletion: true when no extra option is given. Before, only serverName and params were passed.
  • With userConfirmsCompletion set, the dialog shows "Open in browser", "I'm done, continue" and Decline. Before, it showed only Accept and Decline.
  • Pressing Enter on the open button opens the link without moving to a waiting screen, and the button then reads "Open again".
  • The warning now says "Review it in full before you continue." in place of "Review it in full before accepting."
  • The dialog also takes a new wouldTakeAnswer setting.

Why

You now tell Claude Code yourself when you have finished the browser step, and you can reopen the link if needed, instead of only accepting or declining up front.

The writer flagged doubtIt is not clear which MCP requests use the new layout and which still use the old two-button one.
