What
In auto mode, an automatic checker called a classifier decides whether Claude may take an action. Claude Code can reply to artifact comments automatically. Such a reply now counts as declined by auto mode when the classifier is unavailable, and the notice about the decline can appear. Before, only two cases counted as a decline: the classifier blocking the reply, or its answer failing to parse.
Why
This is a narrow path. In practice, an unavailable classifier now stops the automatic reply with a visible notice.
