What
When Claude Code proposes saving a skill (a reusable set of instructions Claude can load later), it checks the proposal and shows a short message about it. That check now has a "kept elsewhere" message. Before this, it could only report that a proposal was unread, stale or replaced by a newer one.
When the "kept elsewhere" message applies, it is shown instead of the unread or stale message.
Why
This is a small change to the feedback you see after a skill is proposed for saving. A skill kept in another place is now reported as such, rather than as unread or stale.
Something disagreesSomething we can check disagrees with this entry, or the writer said they could not settle it.
The writer flagged doubt
It is not clear what situation counts as a skill being kept elsewhere.
