Claude Code can show a hint offering to switch a saved model to a newer one, using the chat:defaultToNewerModel keybinding. Before, the switch was offered whenever a newer model existed. Now:
the hint is cleared if you have already typed something in the input box
Claude Code remembers when it last showed the hint so it is not drawn again and again

This is a small change that makes the newer-model nudge less repetitive.
