What
In auto mode, an automatic check decides whether Claude's actions may go ahead. Some actions only count as approved when a person approves them. When the automatic check approves one of those, Claude gets a message back that now tells it to:
retry once if the action is still needed
if it is refused again, stop and tell you that the action needs your own approval
Before, the message told Claude to send the call again and ask you to approve it from the terminal or desktop prompt.
Why
This changes how Claude behaves after such a refusal. It makes one more attempt and then hands the decision to you, instead of sending the same call again.
