What

Some calls depend on a peer, meaning another connected session or machine. When that peer disconnects, Claude Code can now wait for it instead of failing straight away. New messages tell you what is happening:

  • it is waiting for the peer to come back, with the maximum wait in seconds
  • it has stopped waiting
  • it has given up

Usage data sent to Anthropic now also records how long the call waited.

Why

A short disconnect does not have to end the call at once, and the messages show you why the call is paused.
