What
A plugin is an add-on that extends Claude Code. If a plugin you install would use the same data folder as a plugin you already have from a different repository, Claude Code now says it was not installed and why. The message tells you to uninstall the existing plugin and then install again.
A check on where a plugin marketplace comes from also now stops early in one case.
Why
When two plugins' names collide, you get a clear reason and a fix instead of the two sharing stored data.
