What

When Claude Code runs through Amazon Bedrock or Google Vertex AI, it tries candidate models to find an upgrade or a fallback (a model to use when the first choice is not available). It now skips any candidate flagged as unavailable and writes a log message instead of trying it.

For Opus, the fallback to Sonnet can now also consider Sonnet's own fallback models.

Why

Claude Code no longer spends checks on models that are already known to be missing.
