A marketplace is a source Claude Code installs plugins from. A marketplace registered under the name npm, in any mix of upper and lower case, is now ignored when Claude Code loads. The message says the name is reserved for plugins installed from an npm registry, written as <package>@npm.
Why
If you have a marketplace called npm, it will stop loading and its plugins will not be available. Registering it under a different name avoids this.
