What

When messages wait in a queue, Claude Code merges ones it treats as the same. Messages from plugins (add-ons that extend Claude Code) used to all count as the same. Now two plugin messages count as the same only when both the plugin name and the setting for whether they are sent as the user match.

Why

Messages from one plugin should no longer be merged into messages from another.
