What
The scrollbar in Claude Code's terminal interface has a new pressable arrow button at each end. Before this, it had only a track and a thumb, the bar you drag to scroll.
Arrows change their look when you hover over them or click them.
Holding an arrow down keeps scrolling, repeating for as long as it is pressed.
The scrollbar component accepts new arrows and onScrollBy props, which are settings passed in by the part of the interface that shows the scrollbar.
When the scrollbar is tall enough, it sets aside two rows for the arrows.
One finding notes that it did not trace which part of the interface passes arrows, so it is not established where the arrows appear yet. The same finding saw a new conditional bullet, controlled by shareOn, added to the artifact tool's prompt. That caller was not traced either.
Why
Scrolling with the mouse becomes easier: you can click or hold an arrow instead of dragging the thumb. Because no caller was traced, the arrows may not show up everywhere a scrollbar does.

The writer flagged doubtWhich scrollbars actually show the arrows.
