Beta features are optional extras Claude Code asks the API for with each request. When a request is refused because of one of them, Claude Code used to check for a single specific feature. It now works out a list of all the beta features the error points to, including a new case where the API rejects the setting for how thinking is displayed. The check for rejected effort settings was also rewritten.
