What

Claude can ask you questions through a question dialog. Each question can carry a type. When a feature check in Claude Code passes, any question that arrives without a type is now given the type "choice", meaning a pick-from-a-list question. When the check does not pass, questions are handled as before.

Why

Giving every question an explicit type suggests the question dialog is being prepared for more than one kind of question. In practice, a question with no stated type is handled as an ordinary choice question.
