What
When Claude Code is about to share an artifact, it first runs a permission check. A permission check is the step that decides whether an action is allowed and, if needed, shows you a confirmation to approve. If that check fails before the confirmation can be shown, Claude Code now denies the share and shows this message:
The permission check for this share failed before the confirmation could be shown, so nothing was shared. Retry after the underlying failure clears.
This denial counts as a safety check, which means Claude Code's automatic approval system cannot approve it on your behalf.
Why
A broken check now stops the share instead of letting it go ahead. If you see this message, nothing left your session, and you can try again once whatever caused the failure has cleared.
