One tool lets an agent hand a report back to whoever asked for it, answering "Report delivered to your caller." Behind a switch the server controls, its result can now also tell Claude Code to end the agent's turn, instead of handing the report back and letting the agent carry on.
An agent that delivers a report, such as a subagent (a helper Claude starts to do part of a job), may stop right after doing so, which changes how long it runs.
