Programs can drive Claude Code through its SDK, a toolkit for building on top of it. Such a program can ask a running session to re-initialize, which means restarting its setup. If that request asks for prompt suggestions, the session now turns them on, but only when a remotely controlled setting allows it. That setting is off unless it is switched on remotely. Usage reports now record whether suggestions were asked for and whether they were turned on.
Programs that host Claude Code can now switch on prompt suggestions partway through, for the accounts the remote setting covers.
