What
The SDK is the kit for building your own programs on top of Claude Code, and it sends a stream of messages as Claude works. Claude Code no longer sends progress events for tool calls made from inside the REPL tool: tool_progress messages no longer carry a repl_call field naming the inner tool. The same events are also gone from subagent activity tracking and from background sessions.
Why
Programs that read the SDK stream and used repl_call to show inner-tool progress will stop receiving it.
