Starting a cloud session with --cloud (or its deprecated alias --remote) no longer runs the preparation steps it used to:

  • the offer to sync your local folder into the cloud session
  • the check for how your local copy differs from the remote one
  • the planning of which files to upload on top

The cloud session no longer receives any folder sync data either. Claude Code also shows a new warning when looking up the remote session returns nothing.

Why

If you relied on Claude Code offering to sync your folder when starting a cloud session, that offer does not appear on this path.
