In a remote session, Claude Code keeps a list of tasks running in the background. Before, that list was cleared only on reconnect. It is now also cleared when:
the remote machine doing the work goes away
the history sent to catch up is cut short
the connection drops
Claude Code records how many tasks were dropped.
Why
Background-task indicators for work that no longer exists should stop lingering in remote sessions.
