The precomputeCompactionEnabled option is still only added to the settings menu when a server-side switch is on. That switch falls back to off when the server sends nothing, so the option is otherwise hidden. Apart from internal renaming, this is unchanged. In the last readings, taken before this release, the flag server returned off both for this site's account and for a signed-out baseline.
